anvil oblivion gate (spoiler)

I need major help. ive found the caves to enter the castle and ive fallen through some holes and i cant get out. the only door that leads out is either in the floor above me or the door that leads to nowhere.

I already closed that one so I can't check, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, the tactical map is confusing because the tunnels are so overlapped. However, I'm sure there's a ramp that leads back up to the overpass with the holes. It's just hard to find because the tactical map isn't much help.

yep and nope. yep thats the right obliviongate but nope there is no way out.i can go between two areas but one leads to a door that goes to nowhere and the other one leads to a hole. but im at the very bottom of the map so i have to junp up the hole and get out.

Hmm... well, as I said I already closed that one so I can't go check, and I'm not sure what you mean by "door that goes to nowhere", but I'm pretty sure there are at least two doors (the one you came in and the one you need to take). As I recall, the one you need to take might be named the same as an area you already visited, so you might think you've already been through it when you actually haven't. I think there was a pretty good thread describing the Anvil gate while back. Try searching the forum for "Anvil oblivion gate", and there should be some better info than my lame attempt.

u dont get it i fell through a hole and there is a door that when i try to open it it says across my screen this door leads nowhere. that door is the only door.

Aha. Well, that being the case it kinda sucks but I think the only thing you can do is load a save game. You should have an autosave where you entered the oblivion gate if you didn't manually save since then.

i thought of that my nearest save was there before i discovered this trap both my save and autosave.
