cursor trouble (SoU) possbile spoiler

im a noob so cut me sum slack, im in kobal cave or sumthin and i need to open a door, there are 4 levers and i kno the order of which to use them in however i cannot target anything within these four rooms but myself therefor cannot use the levers...any advice would be much appreciated.

Well what was it? Others might frequent the forum with the same problem, so by posting the solution you enable them to find it if that is the case
