Killing without being detected

Post by icywindy »

Hi, I am new to Oblivion, I just want to know how to murder someone without being by guards. Cuz currently i am (level 2) doing a sidequest that ask me to kill someone, I followed the victim to a farm and sneak behind him and attack, unfortunately i cant kill him with one hit, but i am sure nobody see me cept the victim. After I killed him, the screen says i was detected by an unknown forces, and guards start chasing me.

So is there any way kill someone without being detected?? help plz :(

First: The Dark Brotherhood ALWAYS know if you murder someone, even if you do it by accident. They do not distinguish between Murder and Manslaughter. Their goddess spots you, so you have no chance!

Second: To stop anyone else seeing you, you need (a)to improve your Sneak skill, (b) make absolutely sure no-one but the DB goddess can see you. You do this by being in Sneak mode, and making sure that the Sneak 'eye' is dull. If it is bright, someone can see you and the guards will come running when you attack your victim.

You really should read the game Manual, you know! This sort of info is available in there! It's only a very short little booklet, and not beyond the concentration of even the shortest attention span! :p

And sometimes, even if you do all previously suggested you will get 'caught' at it. It's rather bizzare really but such is life. In that case, run, sit at a bottom of a lake and then find a fence of TG to get rid of your bounty :)
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Really? I've never done any DB killing, and Thieve's Guild doesn't approve of it - but I have opened locks with guards patrolling back and forth and not been spotted. I don't make the attempt until the 'eye' is dull, and all is well. Is it different for killing?

It happened to me once, and I asked around then, and was told it does happen. I actually think there was a similar thread here, once upon a time. There was no way anyone could have seen me - I was not spotted entering the house, there was noone in the house but me and the victim, who was killed while sleeping with the first blow and yet after I got out - bam. Oh well...

Hm. Sounds buggy to me. Sometimes people/critters DO see you through walls in dungeons (maybe the people are using Detect Life? But what about the critters? ), but I never had that problem inside houses.

YET!

just to help there some important characters in the game (they are still killable) but you will get a bounty for either 40 or 1000. to help the host of this thread, if your completely sure no one is around then make sure it is some one week like an old lady or someone who looks like they can't defend themselves. Save before you attack and if you don't kill them with a sneak attack find someone else. If you really get desperate then set the game to easy. you should be able to kill someone then.

You can kill someone in broad daylight in the streets of the imperial city if you wan't just make sure the eye is dull and hack away.
Why am I fighting to live, if I'm just living to fight? Why am I trying to see, when there aint nothing in sight? Why am I trying to give, when no one gives me a try? Why am I dying to live, if I'm just living to die?
