Sry if i didnt do the tag rite, neway im on dxun about to go to onderon so i went bak to the ebon hawk to train with the handmaiden so she says ok, and i end up killing her... lol i look in the party selection screen and shes gone, i had a save b4 so il just go bak, but i dont know if i can ever train with her now cauz shel die, has this happend to ne1 else and is ther somtin i can do so she doesnt die?

Tried that and I can't find any matches. This problem really caught me off guard to be honest. Never heard of it before in my life.

Hi all,

I just signed up a few minutes ago so I can respond to this post.

This is true; it happened to me a while back also, and it scared the living daylights out of me when it first happened as I've played the game numerous times before and every single time the game would just launch the regular cutscene after the Exile beats her in training and the game continues as normal, so I was not expecting anything strange to happen at all...except this time around she all of a sudden let out a death scream after I had hit her one too many times and then dropped dead on the floor!!! :speech:

At first I just stared at the screen for the next few seconds in shock expecting her to get back up eventually, but she just stayed down. When I finally clicked on her body, a list of all the items that she had with her was displayed, allowing you to take her gear -- just like what happens after you kill one of the bad guys.

Below is a screenshot of the Party Selection Screen which is where I tried to go next because I was so confused with what was going on -- as you can see, her picture has disappeared (implication: dead), but when I tried to click on the box where her picture normally shows up, the message "I am broken, so very broken" shows up on the character name message bar:

From reading the forums in other places that talked about messages just like these, it apparently is an error message to let the programmers know of a bug somewhere in the code that will show up whenever a user decides to do a certain combination of things that would cause the anomaly to happen.

This happened to me once...

The way I fixed it was to fight her barehanded... It's easier as well...

Thanks, Kayos. Glad to be here. After the Handmaiden died I reloaded my last saved game, and then tried to do as many things differently prior to doing the training session with her again (e.g., talk to Kreia first, use a different melee weapon this time around, don't be too agressive in fighting moves, etc.), and it worked. The game proceeded as normal again.

I guess one thing that I could have also done was to continue playing the game after the Handmaden died and to see what would happen afterwards -- would she magically show up again later in the future when the game requires for her to appear based on the storyline, for example?

....um, no. I take that back. I think what would possibly happen is that the game would crash at that point. The program might say something like "Okay, at this point in the game, I will launch the scene which includes the Handmaiden, etc. -- but wait! The Handmaiden is dead! What to do?! <crash>)" And so I would have been stuck playing a game for hours and hours but at a certain point it cannot be finished. I think I'll leave this little experiment to other more enterprising people that wouldn't care as much if that would have happened.

So if anyone out there had the same experience and then continued playing with the game, let us know what happened later on, okay? I for one would be interested in finding out.

i would also like to know as i killed her also. (told you so. im not even joking!) well it seems to be a certain combonation of things. hmm... perhaps i shall wikipedia it and see what i can find. *shrugs* oh well... ill just go pull a Uie and see what happens from there...

i didnt kill handmaiden but she almost killed me. i broke the rulke no lightsaber.
and she didnt stop hitting me. and of cousre i brought her outside and she almost killed me. it said she had ni life and she wouldnt die, i had to turn solo mode on and hide. and i had no saves up to this point so i dont go near the cargo hold anymore

hey yeh i havent been on since i posted the problem but i read everytin today , i jsut went bak to last save and didnt use vibroblade and it went alright, but i wonder wat the game might be like without her lol? if ne1 kills her try n c:laugh:

about the Very Broken part, i was on tatooin once me hk and Bastila
i just used cheats for the 1st time (PC) and then after a while Hk and my hole party exept bastila disappeard and it said the "broken" i guess enabling cheats can cauz loosin ppl but more then 1:laugh:
