clavicus vile (spoilers)
i paid 500 gold at the shrine of clavicuz vile and he gave me the quest to kill umbra and get her sword. then when she was done talking, the statue of the dog went into my inventory and it said u dont have to get the sword and u should just leave things alone. i had the sword before i talked to clavicus vile, and i did not search at hells gates. after the statue of the dog was done talking, a message appeared and said i have retrieved the sword. i did not give it back right away since i liked it. after about a while, i tried to give clavicus the sword, bcuz i wanted to complete all daedric quests to get to the last one. when i approaced clavicus, the dog wasnt there. when i spoke to clavicus, i gave him the sword and the message appeared and said i completed the quest. but when i try to continue the game the game freezes in the next 5 seconds. the dog statue did not go back to clavicus. is this bcuz the game cant load the dog back to clavicus? how can this be helped?

:mischief: The color of night is Black, as the color of Oblivion is red. All live with the fact that Mehrunes Dagon rules, Ye who Closes Shut the Jaws of Oblivion will see the mouth of Oblivion closer than thou can imagine:mischief:
If you're on PC, I think there's a patch for this on Bethesda's web site. If you're on 360, there's a thread that discusses solutions to this here:
http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/elder ... 75574.html
The short version seems to be that some people have found it possible to get around it by fast-traveling right before the crash, but the timing is tricky and it doesn't work for everyone. Read the thread for more details.

Can the answer to this question be "No"?
