NWN Chapter 2, where's my henchman?

My henchman died in the Realm of the Spirit. I went to get him at the temple and he wasn't there. I'm pretty bummed. What happened, and how do I get him back?

There are certain areas of the game where death is permanent/recall is not possible. I'm not sure but its possible the Realm of the Spirit is one of these areas (it would make sense if it is seeing as you have to die to get there).

Your henchman should be back at the temple, though, as it says somewhere in the game that henchmen always respawn there. It may be a glitch in the game. Did you try returning to the Spirit Realm by plunging the dagger into your chest again, to see if maybe you can find your henchman's body, and maybe use a scroll of resurrection or something on them? Do you have an earlier save you can go back to? Does the cleric at the temple say anything in regards to your henchman?
