Bravil Recommendation!! (spoilers warning)

I just cant seem to activate the recommendation for Mages Guild in Bravil. It doesn´t show up on my active quest even after speaking to Kud-Ei.

Kud-Ei asks me if I´m ready to start my recommendationquest and all I get is that I should talk to Varon Vamori. I dont get the scroll from her and no mention of the staff Im supposed to collect.
And when I go speak to him and raises his disp. he just says that he likes her but wouldn´t harm her. And thats it. It doesnt help to go speak to Kud-Ei after that, she just asks me again if im ready to start my recommendationquest. Im guessing it might have something with starting the dreamquest with Kud-Ei´s friend..(I´ve completed that quest already). What should I do??

Go back to Kud-Ei and get back into the dialog mode with her. Scroll down on the dialog options and you should see "Varon Vamori" still highlighted in white as though you hadn't read it yet (it's below the first four dialog options and is hidden from view unless you scroll down). Click on his name again and get the second half of the dialog and scrolls that kick off the quest. Good luck.
