I'm assuming that most people here Role PLay on MMORPGs ok.
IMO the main thing that bothers me wiht any UO is the annoying Kewl DuZs who are just plain abusive to anyone who trys any PRGing even showing up where they know people are gathering to roleplay just to get their kicks.Hmmm thats a bit offtopic.
IMO
1.Uo is circling the drain due to origin seeming to focus on H&S players who will be gone to the next game in a few months by removing seers and generally ignoring any problems roleplayers have in the game.
2.HalfLife multiplayer people are more fun to fight because they're more intelligent and verbel[ly abusive].
3.Baldurs gate definitly, D2 is just hack and slash and not my cup of tea.
4.I don't play and flying games
5.Online casinos mainly pamper to addicts

Heard on the grape vine that a portion of the money from online casinos in the Uk are sent to a charity to help gambling addicts.

Online games are better in some aspects...
1, the sprites on screen represent real people... therefor giving a geek (such as my self) the opportunity to say 'I do have a social life' (sadly.. not a sex life)
2, Human reactions are much less predictable... expecially noticeable when one plays games such as Age of Empires.
3,You can pummel someone with hot lead on Quake Arena whos on the otherside of the world.
4. Great communication and friend-making tool (perheps bettered only by the Gamebanshee forums ).
But I hate online games because...
1,No 'save' or 're-load'.
2, UO
3,Being taken to jail and stripped of my counselor robes WITHOUT WARNING! OSI WILL PAY!
4, logging on just to refresh my house
5, getting the feeling that UO is just a patched up piece of old, frayed software thats the ugliest piece of crap.
6, paying monthly charges

I like Offline games because...
1.They have a deeper story (you have a start off story in UO but other wise the story is.. newbie,4x Grandmaster, Veteran)
2, One single, manageble, low non-monthly payment from Lombard direct.
3,Saves and re-loads.
4, Detailed manuals.
5, Beards.
I hate offline games because....
because...
it varies from game to game.
