Swag and extra modules

I have a rather odd, but very frustrating problem. After finishing NWN and SoU with the same character, I decided to do the extra modules (Dark Ranger, Wind of Eremon, To Heir is Human) that come with the game. DR has a huge amount of armor halfway through, which I had to carry through a forest full of enemies to get to the merchant. But when I talked to him, although it gave the "[Appraise] favorable" bit, but although the entire point of the module is to sell it to him, nothing happened and I couldn't. I have hefted this swag through all three modules now (although I set it all down to fight when I can) and the same thing happens. This is ridiculous - why will no one buy my stuff?
