I agree!

My PC is slow enough the action is a little draggier than I would like sometimes, but even so, this game ROCKS!! Similar enough to Morrowind that I picked it up really quick, but different enough to be challenging and TREMENDOUSLY entertaining!

The one downer, for me, is that I could do without some of the language. I know that the cursing adds realism, but when my daughters want to watch me play I wince sometimes at the words the NPCs use. A minor complaint, though. I haven't run across any "naughty bits" and don't care to.

I thought the language was pretty tame for a MA-rated game (compared to, say, the GTA series), and most of it seems to fit the medieval atmosphere of the game pretty well (the occasional vulgar references to canine parentage and out-of-wedlock birth, for example). I've only heard one thing that wouldn't pass muster with network TV censors (a gratuitous instance of blasphemy that I thought seemed anachronistic and could have done without).

Still, it would have been nice to be able to configure the language and gore levels for parents and players who are sensitive to that kind of thing.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

In that case you should seriously think twice before taking on the Dark Brotherhood questline, or at least make sure you're daughters are not around when you do it. The language those characters use is quite decent, however what they say is definitely not suitable to kids. Also, since you don't seem to care for encountering any "naughty bits" you should probably steer clear of this for your own sake as well.

edit: just after I hit 'post reply', I realized this is turning off topic. sorry for that

Well, it's off-topic if we are only allowed to praise the game in this thread. And I do praise the game. But...

Indianasmith makes a valid point. Not that I have come across much in the way of cussing.

However - and this is REALLY off topic! Sorry Fable! - I would have thought the mindless violence and blood would be more unnaccptable to young children, myself. And the zombies. Horrid images to fill a youngster's mind with. Ouch! And I ended a sentence with a preposition. :o

Guys, no offense meant, but if you want to praise Bethsoft, go to their forums and do so. Their developers don't come here. And these forums are meant for posing questions, and answering them. :)

Thread closed.
