Speeder sidequest on nar shaddaa (*spoilers*)

O.K. I did a search and nothin' showed up so...Let me ask you something is there a way to fix the speeder on nar shaddaa?Because I went there with Bao-Dur and he said he'd check my work when I get all the parts put in so I gather all the parts the second-time around my playing it the first I put them in one-by-one.Then when I have all the parts I come up to it click on it and one of those messages pops up saying the speeder has been damaged beyond repair(is this a bug?) I've heard people say you can gain influence with Bao-dur by complimenting on his work with the speeder side quest.

Once you trigger the bit where you get the message from the Exchange, the exchange damage the speeder and it can no longer be used or repaired. You can only repair it if you do it before you get the message from the Exchange.

I recall it is also un-doable if you deal or kill the leader of the gang in that area as well. As a side note, you can gain points with Atton or Bao by having one of them do the install. But you cannot have both in the party at the same time.
