Hi there, me and my buddie decided to pick of AoE2 and play it together but when he trys to join my game, he can't because my game doesn't show up for him and vice versa for me. Are we doing somehting wrong or are we just stupid? Or do we need to download a patch somewhere, if so, where? By the way, we are not using the Msn gaming zone as that is "retired" we are useing the Ip address one. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,

Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

Oooo, love this game, infact my brother and I played a lan of it last night.
First of all, you need to make sure your firewall allows the game to access the internet, and whoever is hosting to act as a server.
Additionally, if you are using internet other than dial up (broadband, ADSL, cable ...) then you'll need to allow the ports which aoe uses so that it will send out the game information to the other person.
Hope you can understand this, though it is a bit of rambling that might be hard to understand (at least it's legible).

In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
