Modded soul gems

Post by Alien_Newborn »

Recently, I've been making a few simple mods to amuse myself until Bethesda either makes some Oblivion expansions or makes another TES game (whichever comes first). Today I was trying to create a custom soul gem that is both reuseable, and can soultrap human souls. The problem is that when I create the new soul gem in the construction set menu, I can only choose it's capacity, and whether or not it's already full. I can't seem to find a way to make it resuable or humanoid compatible. I'm assuming there are scripts running that differentiate compatability / reusability on soul gems, but I'm not sure how I could go about applying them to my own. Any ideas would be sweet and welcome.

Reusable - look at the azuras star script

Humanoid compatible - can't be done. Humanoids don't have a 'soul value'.

Yes they do. When you have an empty black soul gem you can soultrap humans.
My idea is to look at the black soul gem script.
