Hi,
First of all, welcome to the forums. Here's the tip. Use the most powerful shield you have, i.e. the Verpine Prototype Shield. Secondly, use any buffing powers and stims to buff up your character. These tips will give you the advantage over Atris. Hope this helps.

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
My 2 cents
Guns work.
I have beaten her when I have been 30th level and when I was 10th (don't laugh) and I find that guns work the best.
I don't try to go into the big room if I don't have to. That generally leads to me getting mauled. I try to lead her out of there and down that ramp and into the room where the Handmaiden is. Then I run around in circles around the statue and shoot with guns. If she stops following throw a granade. I find force powers are not all that useful against her so I relied heavily on Heal. Lightsaber fighting is what she does so that was too hard too.
I wish I could have taken my old light saber once I beat her. I know she had it!

Bao-Dur: I think he wanted us to give up the Genreal to his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters.
Atton: Ah. well that would explain it. Which one do you want?
Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance.

In addition to what DesR85 said, the most useful buffing powers to use against Atris (at least the ones I've had the most success with) are force immunity and master speed. Atris depends a lot on force powers, so if you have immunity activated, you'll have more attack opportunities without getting damage to yourself. Also, depending on what prestige class you chose, make sure you have either the right lightsaber technique or force form active. Contention if the lightsaber form to use against jedi, I think, and force potency will help you do more damage if you use force powers on her. Lastly, use attacks and powers that will potentially stun her, like critical strike, force wave or stasis (there may be more, but I'm not sure).

I usually use force storm on her repeatedly. plus i use force channle.
and stasis field helps to as Lyria said. another good thing to have/equip is the mandalorian heavy assualt armour, the jal shey belt, and the force mask.
force mask= +16 against force powers
Jal Shey belt= +14 against force powers
and the Mandalorian heavy assualt armour protects you from stun, fear, and horror.(which she frequently uses on me)

After the darkness calls my name,I slowly lose my sense of self, If I don`t awaken from this hell, then all I am will cease to be.
