Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Not Eastern Front? No, that was a strategy game. First wargame that ran in realtime, as I recall.

I wouldn't know the name even if you told me, Fable. I think you could use a helicopter in it too... although that could have been another game...

You know, I think I remember a game like that. You could run from vehicle to vehicle. Can't recall the name of it, though.

Three early PC games I remember very well (back when EA was actually doing games, instead of just making money off other people's games) were Murder on the Zinderneuf, Archon, and Mule. Anyone else remember those?

The computer of computers was the Sinclair ZX81. It was a classic. It was so good you couldn't even play "Pac-Bloke" on it.

What about Airborne Ranger? Now that was a classic game! One of my early favourites :)

I used to change and rechange config.sys and autoexec.bat on my pc, and wrote my essays in WardPerfect for Dos.

I liked a game called Little Big Adventure, though I haven't finished it yet. :D :D I wonder if I can play it on my Win98 in Dos mode...

LBA. My friend was big on that... er, no punn intended ;) I remember playing it, having to get some disguise out of a garbage truck or something... been a long time since I played that one :)

Not sure Sleep, but it was a classic. Pretty easy too, but damn fun ;) Multiplayer was the best bit :p

LBA2 was absolutely fantastic, the only problem being it keeps crashing my machine, why is it that DOS based games just don't appreciate a GeForce :D

Well my first 'computer' was a Sinclair ZX81. Followed by the Spectrum then the Commodore 64.

The ZX81 was a 1MB machine, but I had a plug in 16MB ram! Really powerful  :D

I used to buy the magazines to get the game programs. You had to sit and write the program before you could play it, it took for hours to get a simple pacman...

That all changed with the Spectrum and the tape loader, those loading screens were a real hazard to people with photo sensitive epilepsy! :D

After the Commodore 64, I got an Amiga A500+ - the birth of games on floppy disk!

Aaagh those were the days :D

*sigh* I remember the ZX81 Yshania - Bomber, Virus - ahh, those were the days. I had an Acorn Electron a Spectrum 128 an Amaiga 500 and an Amiga A1200.

@Gruntboy - I had my first RPG on Amiga 500 (Blades of Destiny) I loved the game, though it is no match to current RPGs :D

It came on 11 floppy disks and you had to change them constantly  4 of the disks covered battle scenes (which resembled a chess game with each character having x amount of movement points depending on encumbrance, and each attack used up a certain amount, ie spells were 3 movement points etc etc)

I killed my disk drive with the constant changing of floppies. I decided a hard drive was the answer and considered buying the 1200. Instead I decided that as the difference in price was negligible I would go for a PC.

The rest is history ;)

Yshania, I had Eye of the Beholder for the Amiga - constant changing of 4 discs ruined my machine. I can still remember the level layouts, I played it that much. When I was 16 I blew all my savings on a 486 66Mhz and it was completely redundant within 3 months. :D
