Mods?

Post by Von_Lerner »

I can mod and code but I was wondering if there were any of these kind of mods:

A mod which contains a creation of a cross-country horse race from lets say the Imperial City to Bruma.

Or a marksmenship competition, I always loved archary.

Therefore, is it possible to create this kind of mod?

Not yet :) I'm sure they'd be quite popular too. I can imagine you'll need to be quite proficient in scripting though.

That is, of course, the difficulty. In MorrowWind, I made portable Mark/Recall stones that would allow me to specify arbitrary places on the maps where I could magically mark and transport back to, and even move the transport locations from place to place. Not portals, but portable teleportation devices. Common doctrine was that it could not be done. Common doctrine was wrong. It usually is. The trick was that it could not be done with teleportation functions.

Such things can doubtlessly be created, but would require either a gifted artist/programmer, or the combined effort of both. Perhaps a small team could make a plug-in to provide such a thing. I doubt that it would be easy. I have the programming skills, but my graphics skills are as sophisticated as the average house-rat. In any case, I don't have enough time to spend on such a project. It would be fascinating to see, though. Why don't a few Modders of various disciplines get together and see what they can hash out?
