THe whole Dar Ma resuce mission is the quest, it clears it all up depending on how you go about it. I almost missed it my self. Talk to Jearl, Jarol, Jirl, Jolav, or some such named person and he will come clean with you. (If you want to find him, just talk to every one, its a small town so it wont take long; alternatively, in the back left of the town, there is a house with weeds and crap growing over the porch, it is off the beaten track, thats his house, he goes there eventually). He will give you a key and then you can continue on your merry rescuing way.
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

Glitch in the completion (SPOILER)

I rescued Dar-Ma and brought her directly home. I got a big thank you from her mother and I thought, 'Well, that was lame. No reward.' and I went on my way. Then I realized that the quest wasn't in my 'COMPLETED' bin. So I went back and talked to her mother again. Dar Ma was right in front of her mom and she called me her hero, but her mother asked if Dar Ma was alright. Confused to say the least I tried all the dialog options a couple times. Dar Ma and her mom were in the same room of the shop and the quest wasn't recognizing as being complete...still. I did the dialogs a couple more times and finally shook the digits loose in the game and got the reward: Mercantile training. I'm going to go back and wipe Hackdirt off the map.

And not just mercantile training, but 5 levels of it. You'll also find some interesting ingredients on those worshippers in Hackdirt, but they don't to hunt in packs, so watch out.
