The ultimate Heist - Iron Door Help

Post by pure_log1c »

Completed each stage of the mission like clockwork but now I am in the chamber that contains two sentry stones and two buttons you can press by jumping up over the broken stairs using Springheel Jacks Boots.

No matter what combination I press for the two buttons (stair button first, then other button, or vice versa) the iron door will simply not open up.

I need a quick solution as my patience is wearing thin, is thier a cheat to simply walkthrough the door?

If anyone has had this problem please post a solution here :)

Not really sure how far you've gotten or which iron door is frustrating you. Possible Spoiler: Springheel Jack's boots have a specific use at the very end of the quest. If you are a good acrobat and have decent health you might not need them at all (I'm playing a Khajiit acrobat and didn't use them at all in the quest). Are you talking about the two bronze sentry statues on either side of the "eye"? If so, you have to clear out the whole area, including the side rooms, press all the buttons and go back to the main hall where you'll see some changes (two hollow walled areas have lowered revealing a spot on the floor between them where you must stand). When you get to that spot a pop up message will tell you to take some practice shots before firing the Arrow of Extrication (a way for the game to give a strong hint to save here in case you miss). Shoot the arrow into the eye/target and things will happen including opening the door.

If this is not where you are stuck you could check GameBanshee's Oblivion Network site for the Ultimate Heist Walkthru - from GB Homepage use the dropdown menu to select Oblivion and you'll see the various guild walkthru's.
