Can't choose Superior Senses?

Why can't I pick this perk? Is there anything else needed other than being level 14 and having 5 in perception to aquire it?

I'm not entirely sure on the requirements for the perk...though, if they have changed you can probably find the new requirements withing the game's readme file which has a lot of manual addendums. It should be in the directory where you installed the game.

Superior Senses

Description=Your tribal ancestors have gifted you with superior senses.
This perk gives you a +1 bonus to Perception and add 15 points to your
Find Traps/Secret Doors skill.
# of Rank: 1
Requirements: Perception 5 and level 14

Superior Senses 14 5 PE +1 PE, +15 find traps/doors

according to the readme file and the faqs on the net this is the only req. must be a bug

Several of the Perks do not match up the requirements in the Manual, but the in-game information screen about the available Perks is correct.
