I'm trying to figure out just WHY my Caps Lock key keeps getting things misconfigured.
Here's the scoop:
On the PC version, when you hold down the SHIFT key while walking you are then running.
If you press the CAPS LOCK key while walking, you continuously are in Running mode until you press the CAPS LOCK key again.
At least that's how it's suppose to work.
For some reason, I'm hitting the CAPS LOCK key by mistake at times and then, the situation gets reversed. With CAPS LOCK active...the light on....I'm running and, in order to walk I have to press the Shift key.
I need to be able to revert to the default setting without having to exit and reload the game.
Anyone else coming across this?

i think you may have to explain that one a bit better, i've read your post a number of times now and to me it reads:
if i press shift i run until i let go of shift. if i press capslock when im walking I start running until i press capslock again. whilst i am in the capslock run mode shift makes me walk.
the bit im stuck on is that thats how its supposed to work, and to go back to walking (and therefore running with shift) you just have to press capslock again. Which you know, so i assume i've missed the point of your question.

Yup, mordib has it. You are doing it correctly. The minute you release SHIFT you will go back to running mode. I do it that way all the time ie -
- you press CAPS LOCK to run
- if you want to start walking press SHIFT
- them moment you wish to return to running release SHIFT
- if you want to stop running all together and go back to walking press CAPS LOCK again
If you are running when you save the game, and exit it - when you load you will still be running or to go back to walking full time you need to turn the CAPS on because you were running to begin with.

And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

OK, I'll try to explain it better.
When I first start up the game -- with my CAPS LOCK key OFF -- the game plays normally like it's supposed to. That is, when I press W, my character walks. When I press W with the SHIFT key down, the character RUNS.
Now, if I want to run all the time, I press the CAPS LOCK key and I don't have to press SHIFT. (Still with me?
)
BUT, if my character gets killed and I restart from a saved game....while the CAPS LOCK key is still active....things REVERSE. And, deactivating the CAPS LOCK key doesn't change it for me. I have to actually exit the game, make sure my CAPS LOCK key is not active, then start the game again.
I need a way to revert to the 'default' settings while in the game. And, I've tried doing that by going to the OPTIONS/Controls and pressing the DEFAULT button. Doesn't work there, either.
It does get really annoying after a while.
