Getting the 4th book (Spoiler)

I am in the sewers where me and baurus need to meet the guy to get the 4th volume of that book I need. If I go sit at the table Baurus gets discovered by the two guys that come in, if Baurus goes to the table the priest guy recognizes him and attacks. Is there a way to get the book without having to fight the 3 guys?

I should add I got the book, I sent the dude in and hid behind a wall. When I heard the guy talking i went invisible and came up behind him and hit him hard. Baurus got up and helped and we killed him and his friend. I was just wondering if there was a different way to complete the task.

I think the enemies always see you, that quest to a few tries to complete. I just had to get lucky and not die.

you have to kill em, cuase 1 of em has the book..

I think you may not need to kill the guy to get the book. Maybe you can power pump your sneak and sneak up to the meeting and pick pocket the guy, or forget the guy and sneak in to their room, IIRC there are a couple of copies on the shelf in their hideout. Will try when I replay as thief - I didn't explore all the area, just so that I could have enough fresh new random dungeons to explore for my second round through.
