Creator Race Ruins

ok, i've tried this several times:

i completed the first two puzzles to unlock the vault, and they went ok. However, i cannot seem to split the twin gems in the puzzle of light. Nor can i split anything else in my inventory from 2 items into 1 item each. i know i need to do this, but can't. Any help? i'm stuck until this is accomplished..

been a while since i played but have you tried right clicking on the crystals when they are in your inventory, then i think one of the options on the radial menu is split items.

i've tried that- for some reason, i am unable to split one group of two items into two groups of 1 item, regardless of what the item is. gems, potions, arrows, whatever. i can split groups of three or more, but not groups of 2. I tried potions, and a group of 8 was split into groups of 6 & 2, but i was unable to split them further.

i think i know what you mean and i think i had the same problem once. try opening the container thing you want to put a gem in and then split the gems and move it straight to the container without putting it back in your inventory. not sure if any of that made sense but i think it automatically stacks stuff in your inventory sometimes which may be the prob. also, if this doesn't work, is your game fully patched just in case it is a bug?

dunno what to suggest. you could try to use the cheat console to spawn a single gem of the colour you want and then use that and just ignore the ones you already have (just drop them in a corner somewhere before you spawn a new gem). and then just spawn each colour individually so they are already seperated. it definately sounds like a glitch with your game though.

ok- please explain how ithe cheat works. i've tried, and it says 'success', but no spawned gem. do they appear somewhere in particular, or with an NPC or something? i'm getting frustrated.

they just appear on the ground somewhere reasonably close to you

not to be a pain in the arse or anything, but this is really starting to get old. the cheat doesn't work (or i don't know how to work it), or there is something wrong with my console. i need you to help me get past this, or direct me to the manufacturer or something. i'm considering trying to get my money back.

please help.

Spawning items how it works for me:

~ or ' never brought up anything for me, I have to type in the chat window.

1. ##DebugMode=1, hit enter
2. ##dm_spawnitem xxxxxx ( xxxx = item code, no quotation marks )
3. place cursor somewhere near your character, on the ground, where the item can be picked up
4. hit enter.
5. ##DebugMode=0

Maybe that helps?

do you know what the item code is, or can you point me to where i can find it? I need two of the single gems found in the pool of swirling colors in the creator race ruins. the cheat works-or at least it would if i knew the item code.. thanks for your help.

Okay, as for the gems' codes... I think these are the right ones. I'm not sure, though, just muddled my way through the .nwm files to find them:

Green Gem: m3q2f18_green
Orange Gem: m3q2f18_orange
Purple Gem: m3q2f18_purple
