@ Fiona: And you did install the correct patch correctly? I mean, copied the vtmb_1_2.exe file to the vampire directory and then ran it. I don't want to sound belittling, but it does seem that you and computers are not exactly on speaking terms... ;) :) ... and I'm trying to help.

@ Lestat. So far as I know I did. I am not sure about the directory bit. But I did get a different error message, so I must have done something.

You couldn't insult me about computers Lestat. I have no understanding of them at all, and I don't seem to be able to learn anything. Nothing sticks :rolleyes:

Hmmm.

Any security programs running? Like antivirus, fire wall or anti spyware programs? It's best to disable them while you're playing.

Norton. But it said to disable it and I did and it made no difference. Took weeks to find the game and then the computer wouldn't work for ages and now this. I do not think I am supposed to be a vampire. :)
