Spawning Hississ beasts

Post by philpjfry »

I read in the forms that there is a way to spawn Hssiss beasts in huge numbers somewhere on Korriban I am wondering how and where is it done?

It is done in the Temple in the old Shyrack caves. You find the room the with the dead jedi in it then keep clicking his body and 3 (or 2) Hississ spawn. You can do this unlimited times :)
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

I would recommend doing this 10 - 12 times in a row only. That generates 20 - 24 hisses. Any more then that & they get stuck in the hall. Will not be effected by mass force powers (lighting, storm)

Agreed. Best method (for a Darksider, who can use Force Powers) is 20 hsisses at a time (ten clicks on the body). Do that 4 times and you have a level. Plus which, to attack hsiss have to turn round, and they can't when they're tight packed :)

Word of warning, though; don't try this if you're Lightside! You can't regeneate mana, so you can't use any Force Powers to speak of. Lightsiders have to do it the slow way, 2 hsiss at a time; more than about 4 will kill you before you kill them. And you need plenty of medpacs, as they deal some serious damage if you are in melee with them.

Good point Aclina. But you can equip with force mask that regens points for you. I was lucky as a light sider to have one of the saber stones that further regen force points as well. But as you said, you still do not generate force points fast enough to take on 20 hissis at 1 time.

The standard Jedi Robes for the Knight & Master both have Force Regeneration ablity as well. In addition, you can also obtain the Force Regeneration feat, which works in the v1.3 patch. As a Maxed Light Sider with Force Lightning ,(isn't this the coolest power?) I had no problem frying Hssiss repeatedly.

As to health issues...you can either eat medpacks, use healing powers and wait for your force to regenerate or you can use the Drain Life series to damage Hssiss, while also replenishing your health.

The Hssiss chamber is definitely the power gaming area of KOTOR2. I went from Level 18 to Level 50 in about 2 hours of Hssiss killing. Why? Even though the difficulty scales...I wanted to max my feats, attributes and powers. :D I also noticed I got much better random drops since this seems to be tied to you character's level...

Fair enough. I admit I was assuming that as a Lightsider one wouldn't be using Lightning...I'm a purist and never take opposing Force Powers (other than Heal as a Darksider, which I justify by Darth Plagueis).

Does the regenerate FP Feat mean that a Lightsider gets FP back in the tomb? I hadn't experienced that, but maybe I'd never looked...
