I suppose you get fed up of them if they happen regularly, but I've always liked thunderstorms, apparently my mother took an active interest in making sure that I wasn't scared by them when I was young.
Yeah, they can be good, except most of the time, it rains Friday night, causing Saturday cricket to be rained out. But a major reason is that we live near a bush, with heaps of gum trees. And if the soil gets too wet, and the wind too powerful, it could easily topple some, and make them fall onto our house. Though that would be rare, it could happen...
*shrugs* He's still not here. Don't know much more than that...
I expect he'll turn up soon.
Well let's hope so. Though it seems only Fiona and I took him seriously in that post.

@Kipi: I just read it too, nice story, I didn't realise you had edited the last post, until after I had read the one after it  .

Thanx
And I was going to edit even more, to fill the gap between the beginning of the fight to the moment when Hunter was studying the data, but then I decided to leave it be, since it wasn't that important part...
You mean the video? Sure, this is the link to download it (it's direct link to the file, btw)
Is that something I might be interested in? (Before I waste 20mins dowloading a 40Mb file... :p )

I took him seriously the first couple of times, but now it has to be his 4th or 5th time. Last time the SF was the casualty of choice, now he's gone back to the 'leaving forever' thing. :o

No, you didn't. I already knew. It's metal-related. Don't ask me about the genre as I'd probably get it wrong. :p

@Kip, power, eh? I generally like that stuff, so I'll give that a go. :)
Well, if you are thinking that way...
how does this sound: -25'C, wind blowing about 25 m/s...? :p
How about this?

Temp: -54 degrees (celsius, for you wierdo yanks who use the wrong system)
Windspeed: 20 miles/h upwards. A lot upwards.

Gusty road conditions with shipping snow. Ice sheets everywhere, including the bona-fide Calgary Ice-pothole.

Calgary, Synonym: Hell Frozen Over.

EDIT- Not today- December, last year. January was slightly warmer and a little more windy, and then we hit the Chinook.... the blessed Chinook.

Yeah, well I'm not really into full metal, so I'll have to pass.

@Rav: Aww, you took away my joy :p .

Night Kipi.

@Hill: How can you live there?

I mean, it would be impossible to do anything, wouldn't it?

@ Kipi: Canadians always win those "Who has the worst winter weather contests", except to some Russians. :D

@ Ravager: Showing off? Moi? Gee, if you want to be able to show off something like that, you can come here and dress in a ball of sweaters and coats for Christmas. :D

@ DJV: Wasn't much worse than this year. It was mentioned on the news that if your not properly equipped on some of the days then your body temperature would permanently lower in a matter of minutes.

It gives us all an excuse to wear T-Shirts when we nail the freezing point though. :D

@ Lestat: I'm not a yank! (see addition above) ;)

See you Kipi.

Good night Kipi. I am trying to download that video now. I was losing hope when Rav said it would take ages. So I will persevere :D

I listened to it, it was good. Yep, I'd recommend it too.... :p

@Hill, Hmm....nah, you can keep your weather and I'll stay in England. *nods*

@Fiona, I overestimated the time it would take for my computer...

Wait... permanently, as in, for many many years, your body temperature would be lowered?:speech:

T-Shirts at 0 C! You Canadians are crazy, when it hits 15, I'll be covered in warm clothing!

@Rav: I've heard metal before, and it's just not my cup of tea.

*nods* Fair enough. Wasn't mine either a few months ago and it's not like it's a tiny download anyway.

Yeah, well a couple of my brothers are into it, so I've heard it a fair bit. Not that band, but a few other metal-related ones.

@ Ravager: Bloody English Duck Lover. :p

@ DJV: As in hypothermic body temperatures.

Yes, well, after two years of being subjected to it, walking to the car and turning on the heater is limited enough exposure that it feels like a brisk spring day. :D

@ Lestat: Be quiet, you old vampire, or I'll knock out those remaining teeth. I know where Canada is. :D
