Ohhhh, I see now :cool: .

@Lestat, it wouldn't have helped, because then Fiona wouldn't have had a clue which smilie was which.

Well I would have to wrap the no parse code around each smily seperately.

And where's the mandatory translation for that, pray?

@Fiona, you took the words right out of my mouth... or rather, my hands.

Wrapping a code around a text is putting [somecode] before it and [/somecode] after it.
Wherein somecode can be
quote (for quote box)
I (for italic)
B (for bold)
U (for underscore)
noparse (for not have punctuation turn into smilies)
EDIT: and apparently, code (for a code box)

How did you do that?
I found a specific piece of code, that lets you show the code in show places and smilies in others. :D
noparse (for not have punctuation turn into smilies)

Aaah, I wasn't sure if you meant the

Code: Select all

tags, in which case, then yes, it would work that way.

Fiona, we are talking about the second toolbar, third button from the right (#), and then that will prevent anything changing what is written, including having several spaces.
Test                           Spaces
As you can test, you can't do that normally.

'Test Spaces'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@Rav: At the bottom of the posting box, you can check a box that disables smilies.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Scrap all that stuff above the line - Lestat edited and changed everything!
:) I see now, and yeah, I'm familiar with coding, as a user of HTML.
Darn. That's my secret gone... :p
Quoting or copying the message text is sufficient for the code to be apparent... and I'm good at these things, I admit. Mathematical mind.
Thanks all for trying. Give up now. I realise it is hard for you to believe in such ignorance but I got lost again when DJ mentioned "second toolbar". Don't mind me, talk amongst yourselves :D
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Fiona, as I have edited, ignore mine completely.
Lestat unwittingly used a code, which then set my mind on a different track, and apparently he didn't mean to use that code.
Lamens terms - Just use that list Lestat gave earlier, except without the plusses, and once again, ignore everything I said.
It's my last day of holidays, so I'm still allowed to be stupid. :rolleyes:
Yeah...
What about the smilie button in the reply window, near where you can select fonts and colours?
I think it's a problem with all the toolbar functions, if I'm not wrong. I believe it was when I had it.
And now I gotta go, sleepysleep.
@Lestat, alright mate, glad we could sort that out :rolleyes: . Good night.
@Fiona: Do you have the problem where only a few smilies show up?
@DJ. No none of the things around the reply window work at all. Does that make sense? I mean everything colours and fonts and smilies etc
What happens if you click on that smilie button?
Ahh. Saw your reply to DJV. Never mind then.
Night Lestat.
@Fiona: Hmm, I know what you mean, I think it's happened once or twice... just out of interest, how long has it happened, and has it happened before... I might have an idea.
@Chu: Why, what's up?
The flashing line which shows me where the reply starts disappears and then I click on the reply box to make it come back. Same with all the doohickys
@ DJ. It has been like this for wee while - maybe a week or 10 days. I can't get into the control panel either. I suspect it is due to getting a new graphics card a little while ago. I can't load any games, either, but that happened before this
