I should be in Uber-Spam by now. What are the requirements to get to the next stage?

Even if you started relatively early in your life that means about 500/a day. Hmm. You'd better ask Phreddie for some cream... against the burns & blisters.

lol. Special South Asian ritual toughens the skin so no problem there. Btw just saw my PMs. Thanks. I am surprised you knew. But then again i have a sneaky suspicion you work for the UN Peacekeeping forces and then would have realised it because you guys have so many pakistanis and bangladeshis around in your part of the world.

Actually it was an article on-line in a Belgian paper that reminded me of the holiday...
But I've worked in some West-African countries and am somewhat familiar with it (hence Tabaski, I don't know if they call it that way in other parts of the world). Those crazy Touaregs in Mali even tried to convince me of drinking boiled stomach juice (they put hot bricks inside the sheep's stomach and then bury it under the sand).
And not UN, EU at the moment as consultant.
The Bangladeshi are stationed more upcountry. In the city it's mostly Nigerians. And a hard core of extremely well equipped Swedes & Irish. But as most West-African countries a mix of religions here.

Interesting. You got the better end of the job market :p Though seriously how do you find working in the field? Enjoyable or to crazy for you to do it again? How is it like working in the field? I tried to join the ICRC and IFRC in the field in Geneva but as always i kept getting shot down as i was too young. I applied for field positions when i was 18. :D

I started "low" as a volunteer with international NGO's (Médecins Sans Frontières in my case) and having finished university :p . And even they become more & more picky.
The ICRC is notoriously picky (hey, it's only 10 or 15 years that they accept non-Swiss) and for both the ICRC or IFRC you usually have to pass through your national RC association, unless you have field experience...
But let me tell you that the ICRC can be extremely demanding (I've friends who worked with them).

Most of the time I've liked working in the international aid and development world but it's demanding, mentally and physically. And well it's crazy. But this assignment hasn't been particularly pleasant. But all of it has been an enriching experience.

I think the statement has been made to finally draw out Weasel. Or did she abdicate? Ive been lax on my histories lately.

So what do I function as the Duece? or do i get to be number seven or something?
