Nav-com and the Star Map (possible spoilers)
Nav-com and the Star Map (possible spoilers)
First off. When i talk to HK-47 he says something about that the Nav com in the communication central is voice printed, he can record voices and play them but since the person who voice printed arent to be found he cant unlock it. I think as HK says that T3-M4 has a purpose here, since T3 stunned HK when he tried to examine the Nav com cnetral.
When i ask T3 about chenking his behavior core a holo message pops up and display a guy (forgot his name, think hes the admiral though) talking about a "she" and other stuff i cant quite remember was. Are there a connection there somewhere that this holo guy was the one that voice locked the nav com? (havent sadly enough played KOTOR 1) And if unlocked I can travel to a new location?
And what is all those white dots on the Star Map? where there supposed to be locations for side quests? If so, let me guess they got cut?
It reminds me of the big island in the first Fable that you couldnt reach, you hoped it was more to explore. But that was fixed by Fable TLC =)
Still I hope for more, alot more locations in KOTOR III.

Sorry if I am being dumb but I just woke up..but why would you want to know what the dots are if you havent played KOTOR 1 yet.. Sorry if this was made clear already. And to answer your question, no, there not. I belive they are plants/stars. But then again I may be wrong. And I havent seen this Holo message, but it may have been Carth. My only advice to help understand better is to play Kotor 1.
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.
The additional location is the Yavin space station, and this location was eventually made available for Xbox users too, through Xbox live.
LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.
Ofcourse im gonna play KOTOR 1, but sadly it seems the game is totally out of production at least for Xbox, i know the PC version have one more location so maybe i gonna go for the PC version of Kotor.
Here in America, I see it at my local walmart everytime I go (for Xbox).
I dont know where you're located, but I'd reccommend going to a place like EB games to look for it.

I live in Norway, I shop around on Bestshop.no and gamesmix.com great sites for finding missing games, at least in scandinavia, I called gamesmix and they said that their delivers cant get anymore of KOTOR for Xbox because its out of production. No matter the xbox version are full of bugs they say, and I save some money and frustration by buying the PC version which I now have.
But back on topic.
Since 25% of KOTOR 2 got cut (i heard) i dont doubt that there was a few other locations than they who made it into the game, I read RUMORS that Tatooine and Nal Hutta was supposed to be side quest worlds in KOTOR 2 but got cut, sadly its nothing to do with that unless someone makes a fan madenexpansion mod.
Nal Hutta "Glorious Gem" my ass, lol only "glorious" sluggies
Still it would be cool to visit Nal Hutta, slay some overgrown worms. Maybe take some bounties for the Hutts and teach huttese

This is a cut dialog from the original game. It was suppose to lead somewhere else, but during the "rush out the door" the makers cut a ton of stuff / quests out. Welcome to marketing 101

I assume you are playing a female jedi. As a male jedi you get a female in the message. The guy is Carth from the 1st game who is now indeed that admiral

The only connection is the guy was in your party in the first game. The message is telling you that she (not your character, another person), will leave known space & leave everyone behind except the T3 unit. The message further informs you the T3 unit was to locate your character in case anything bad happened to said other person. No unlocking the nav computer (see answer above & insert here). He is not the one who voice locked the computer.

Those are just stars. No "hidden" or "later unlocked" parts in this one. Out of curiosity, what are your graphic settings? It may look funny if your low on graphics, but that's just a guess
Clear as mud?

Thank you very much for clearing that up
Second Im playing KOTOR 2 on Xbox so I cant change the res there =P, have ordered KOTOR 1 for PC and im excited to test my new Graphic card on the game =)
But I think you are right, those dots may be the stars the planets in the systems are surrounding. Still i think the spare dot/star was a location that got cut.Noticed there are 15 stars but one have no planets in-system.

I hate to ask another question in this topic. But as it is a question about this topic it'd be a waste to start a whole new thread for it.
The Nav computer.
After you find out that HK (Highlight) once belonged to Jedi Revan can you then get him to unlock the Nav computer with his voice mimic?
Here is what I figured out from my 4th trip through the game. I believe it clears up any question about the nav computer. Highlight to read
1. Ebon Hawk was Revan's ship from the 1st game
2. Revan left known space with the Ebon Hawk, T3, and a damaged HK unit. No other members from the original game.
3. Knowing he was going to leave the Ebon Hawk when he got to his destination, Revan did not want to be followed & voice locked the nav computer, giving T3 the codes (T3 cannot mimick voices). He then dis-assembled HK to keep him quiet (until you put him back together that is)
4. After arrival at his destination, Revan put the Ebon Hawk in drift. Something bad happened to him & T3 was sent on his mission to find help. He ends up finding your character on the Harbringer.
5. Admiral Carth (just Carth in your party in the 1st game) knows it's Revan's ship & wants the Ebon Hawk secured. He knows there are clues about where Revan went. This is why it was so important to get the ship in the first place. ("Why they brought a badly damaged freighter aboard was beyond me" or something along those lines said back on Fuel Station)
6. Sith knew the ship as well & were loking for the information, so they attack the Harbringer.
7. T3 secures your character & Keria aboard the Hawk & gets out of Dodge, heading to Telos. But the Hawk is damaged during escape & limps to the fuel station.
8. A sith occupied Harbringer arrives at the fuel station to get the Hawk.
9. After you re-assemble HK, T3 knows he's a threat. Which is why you get the cut sceen of T3 zapping HK.
10. The story ends there until your character finds out info from HK influence that the Hawk was Revans. I only got to this point from editing the game though, so I might be missing some additional info.
11. The nav voice lock is meerly meant to get you to find out your on Revans ship. Maybe part 3 will be unlocking the nav & following his steps, thus finding his fate (remeber Kira says she does not know what happened to him after he left)

Heh. Thanks Walter.
Most of that info I had already knew, but there were some (mostly near the top of your points) I had not. Now, I have a better understanding.
POSSIBLE SPOILER!
One thing I don't get though... If any of you have played KOTOR: I when HK remembers who he is and where he comes from, he tells that he said all his memory could be deleted before he was sent out on assasination missions for Revan and would then be restored on return. If Revan wanted to travel alone why not just delete his memory, other than destroy him? As long as he did not return to his master - Revan - he would not know where he went or where he'd been...
Maybe Revan didn't have time... Maybe he/she just thought a couple of blasts to the torso would be good enough? Who knows... But what I do want to know is where did Revan go? Will we see him/her again? What did he/she go and try and find? Does Revan find what he/she's looking for??
This is also why I would like to see a KOTOR: III. Because there the story isn't completed... There is still too many questions.

Wonder about the same thing, I hope we get some clues or possible answers in KOTOR III.
A bit off-topic but maybe we also get answers where the Ebon Hawk really came from.
"The Ebon Hawk is legendary among smuggling circles, having spent the last decade being used to shuttle goods for the Taris underworld boss, Davik Kang. Through careful piloting and a ridiculously overpowered drive system, the ship has outrun Republic and Sith patrols alike, making deliveries to any number of shady characters along the galactic rim. Davik would joke that it was the best thing he had ever stolen, and for the number of times it saved his life, he had good reason to make the claim.
It's not clear exactly where Davik acquired the Ebon Hawk. The primary systems have been modified so many times that the original classification and even the company that built it are hard to determine.
It's possible the ship was a developmental prototype from some showroom floor, cobbled together from several different models. Key components are obvious retrofits, from the stolen navigational computers to the uncommonly powerful hyperdrive. A number of smuggler-specific customizations have been made as well, though only Davik knows where or how to access them all."

Good point Reaper. Maybe HK was sent on a mission, but never returned to get his memory put back in, so now in part 2 he's stuck with minor memory?
I fully await part 3 of this saga & they better keep the Hawk. It along with T3 & HK are the glue in this mess.
The more I think about it, KOTOR 3 SHOULD have us follow Revan to unknown space & face off against either him or whoever wacks him (if he actually dies that is)

Ebon Hawk, T3 and HK-47 must be in the next game. The droids are the ones that hold all the secrets all the information people want to know, they will be the key in finding Revan... I know it. And the Ebon Hawk MUST stay as it's been in the last two games, it's the ship that has been through it all, in the time of Revan, and in the time of the Exile. It'd be a HUGE disappointment if they changed the ship now.
Anyway, we're going a little bit off topic here, and I wouldn't want Fable or others to lock it. So, what answers do we have for the original question? How do we sum this all up?
Sum up.

How about we sum it. *Ahem.* There is nothing that can be unlocked within this game about the Navi-comuter and Star-map.. *Pushes dirt of shoulders.* It is simply... the next saga. =O
