I have a few qustions for the experienced:
1) Does anyone know where I can find a magical kanata of +"whatever" in the first chapter? I'm trying to create the Sword Saint Legacy before going to chapter 2 and I can't find a magical katana ....
2) I noticed that in one of the posts someone wrote about how you can keep creating magical weapons in later chapters. I'm just about to jump to the 2nd chapter and was wondering if it was too early to have created the Namara Neversleep sword +1 now or can I upgrade it later on to the +3 version? I'm thinking I have to find all the components again later and do it all over again, but anyways ...
3) I've left a bunch of items on the floor of the temple in front of the teleportaion device. While I don't need this horde of treasures now, I would like to maybe have them later on in the game. Can I leave them here? Should I put them all in the fountain thingy? How does that thing work incidently? Will the items I put in there apear in a new fountain in the 2nd and 3rd chapters?
thanks for any help!

Welcome to Gamebanshee.
1) There is a shop in the Docks District that sells many +1 items. It is very likely that you'll be able to find a Katana +1 there. I'm not sure if there are any places where one could be found free of charge, but it may be possible.
2) As long as you have the components you could keep your Namara weapon and create another that is +3 in Chapter 3. The same applies to all the created items. You'll find some more components in the next chapters (particularly Fairy Dust and Gargoyle Skulls).
3) I believe the Fountain is supposed to have plot items that you drop, such as keys. I doubt it can be used to hold items to transfer over chapters though.
Leaving them on the ground definitely won't work, you'll probably have to carry the items at least for the transition between chapters to transfer the items over.

You lose them forever. As someone else said in another reply, only what you carry on your person, ie, in your inventory, will make the transition between the chapters. It doesn't matter if you return to the Temple or not - the items will most certainly be gone.
Personally, I'd sell whatever you don't need in the current chapter, for example stuff your char build can't or shouldn't use. Ready cash will be of more use to you later on than carrying around a load of stuff; the later chapters offer better finds, anyway.
