Is it possible?

Post by Xio »

... Is it possible, in any way, to play Torment in Windowed mode??
I don't have problem with the res, as I am a HUGE fan of the Infinity Engine graphics, I simply would like to carry out other tasks as I played. I've beaten the game over 7 times so far and, well, it's almost like crack. *laughs*

I get urges to play it very often, yet I still have other things I must tend to, so I figured it'd be very nice if I could play as well as get things done. It's a very good stress reliever for me.

I've seen screenshots of this being done, but it was probably due to the person's OS somehow, as his desktop was rather Linux-esque.

Forgive me for being so informal about this, it has probably even been asked here before, but I was just curious if anyone knew of such a thing.

Thanks! :D

Welcome to GB. :)
I've played the game in Windowed mode before, the option will be somewhere within the Config file in the folder where you installed the game.
It's been a while since I looked in the Config file, so I'm not sure of the exact command, there may be a line with 'WindowedMode=' followed by a 0 or 1, if so change the number from 0 to 1 or vice versa.
Other than that it may have a resolution that could be changed so it won't load up full-screen.

Thank you!! Wow, I didn't expect such a swift reply. :D
I will try this semi-shortly and will return with my results.
