Combat tips for Telos surface (relative newbie to game)

Post by TonyM19 »

Hi,

Relative newbie type question

I'm struggling to defeat the mercenaries on Telos surface. I have Bao-Dur and Kreia in my party. I take on a party of 4 mercenaries which is no problem. There is a solo mercenary which my party then attack which brings us in the range of another group. I have no time to recover from one tough fight before the party is pitched straight into another one. Any tips? Is there a way that I can heal up before taking on the second group?

Cheers

Go into solo mode and pull the one mercenary towards you and back to your party.

Also use grenades to soften up the enemy.

I also found this a tough fight. Here's how I got out of it:
1. Arm yourself with the best melee weapon(s) you got
2. Arm Bao with some pistols (rifles at this point of the game are weak). Set his combat behavior to ranged support
3. Arm Keria with nothing & set her to either jedi support or gernades
4. Save after every group encounter (Most forget you can save during combat)

I found it easier to attack the initial group, then head toward the north-east hugging the edge. You will end up cleaning the platform last

Hope this helps

Thanks. I used a combination of both and it worked fine.

If you get further in the game and you find your stuck again you can always lower the difficulty.
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

I find with this fight. Or any fight where you are out numbered it's good to always keep your armour and weapons up to date. Also, if you're not sure of the outcome it's always good to activate a shield before rushing in.

Also, if you can it's good to take a Jedi with you, they usually have Heal and other usful Force powers to work to your advantage.

Another good thing to remember, which is somthing I always do. Is check out what and who you're dealing with before fighting with, try and figure out the odds before showing yourself and make sure you always have a plan B. Whether it be run to a safe spot and heal for a bit or run away and activate a Stealth Generator and sneak past the enemy.

Hope these usful tips help you and any other reader in the future.
