Component for lightsaber???
Component for lightsaber???
I can't seem to get enough components for my lightsaber. I have an xbox version and I’ am on the second planet and want to make a more powerful lightsaber. I tried to breakdown the adv medpacks like recommended in the lightsaber upgrade guide, but I am not getting the components. Any advice would be great.

To make your first lightsaber, you need to obtain the items from quests before you can use customizable ones. If you meant the second planet as in Telos, then you are no where close to getting all the pieces.
If you do have them all, speak to Bao-Dur about making Lightsabers.

I already have a lightsaber and have finished Telos and Onderon. I want to upgrade it my lightsaber but I only have a small amount of components to is not enough to make the Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell, or Expert Fencing Emitter, and or Pontite Lens. As I said I tried to breakdown adv medpacks like recommend in the lightsaber upgrade guide but with no result.

They make chemicals, and I don't know if any lightsaber equipement uses it, but I don't think any use it at all. Also, your main character is the one you want to use when breaking down anything.
Stims, Mines, and Medpacks all give you chemicals, and almsot anything else makes components. Also, make sure you have the minimum attributes afterwards to make these devices, such as 14 Awarness. Good luck.

You should also take note that even if you use Bao-Dur (or somebody else) at Workbench (Lab station), game uses YOUR Repair (or Treat Injury) skill score when breaking down items to get parts (or chemichals). So if your Repair (Treat Injury) skill score is low you'll get small amount of parts (chemicals) when breaking down items.
When creating items game uses the Repair (Treat Injury) skill score of the person actually using the Workbench (Lab station).

One way to get plenty of components, would be using a trick which I discovered (and thouroughly exploited) during my xbox days. One thing's for one, is that this only works if your PC is male, and if you have the handmaiden in your party. Go to the Ebon Hawk, and either spar with the handmaiden, or go to the party equip menu and remove her armor/robe. Talk to her once her gear is off (make sure you have something on, or the only thing you can do is make a few funny comebacks), and ask her "would you mind putting some clothes on?". She'll say something about failing to understand the importance of clothes and modesty. Say "I disagree. In fact, you're......" (I can't remember the rest). She will say that it makes sense, and she'll put on robes that look sorta like master Arca's. While the robes are ok, you can take them off, break them down for components, and then repeat all of those steps for a new one. I never found any hitches to this trick, just take em' and break em' to your heart's content. Each robe yields 20 components at base value, and if you're skilled in repair, it can go up to 75. The most costly lightsaber parts cost about 425 components, so it won't be long before you've got a real owning stick with you
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.
