Starcraft
Hi there I didnt know where to post this but this seems a nice place. Anyways I have been playing Starcraft Brood War The expainsion for quite some time but latley it has been lagging and I cant join my buddies game and he cant join mine, we get the message that both our games are too high of latency (sp?) and when I go into Battlenet it takes about 10 min to get to the screen where I can enter in my name and password. It never used to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say there is something wrong with you Internet connection. Are you experiencing the same with other games of Internet applications? Did you recently change anything of your antivirus or firewall software or the hardware? Did you check your system for spyware and/or viruses?

So then nothing should be wrong with your Internet connection. It could be that the settings in either SC:BW of your firewall somehow got messed up, so I'd check them both. You're not running a download or p2p program while playing, are you?

At the bottomright of your screen is a square with, besides time and date, a number of icons. Two of them should be from your AV and firewall. Right-click on all of them to find out which; the context menu should say something like 'Disable Norton Antivirus'. Disable them and try SC. Don't forget to turn them back on afterwards. If you don't know how, just restart your computer; then they'll restart.
