Question about Kotor II

Post by labonte18 »

I just beat the first game, and I think i'm going to wait until Christmas to get the second, but after reading these forums and other info on KII, I'm a bit confused. In Kotor I you choose the Light side or the Dark side, if you choose the Light side, the republic is saved and the Sith are destroyed, if you choose the Dark side the republic is destroyed and the Sith become unstopable. So how could they possibly make a sequel? Do you choose at the start of the game whether or not you chose light or dark in the first game? Or do they just choose whether it was light or dark for you? Thanks

And i've noticed that this board is unfortunatly one of the boards where every second thread gets locked, so if you're going to lock it please answer my question anyways.

The sith do not become all powerful, they just become powerful then they were before. Once you play the game, you can see how the republic had survivied, whether you chose to be lightsider in the last game or not. (watch out though. The option for it changes quickly, and you have to catch it, or Revan was darkside).

Anyways, the four threads on the front page, at the bottom, were closed for good reasons. Perhaps you should read the reasons why. Xandax stated them. :)

Every second post doesn't get locked just for the fun of it.

But threads where people ask the same questions over and over, while not searching the forum or not following the forum rules and other such things can all lead to a thread being closed.

Keep in mind also that the Sith tend to destroy each other, instead of uniting. So even if the Sith become "all powerful", they'll eventually turn on each other, reducing their strength and would then theoretically allow the republic or the jedi to defeat them.
