Need some help pretty bad (Spoiler)

Making my first way through this wonderful game and just beat the Deva and am back in the hive. When I go back to the Mortuary, I talk to someone to let me in, they say Alright, then it goes to the loading screen and then crashes to desktop when it's about 1/7 loaded. Has anyone else experienced this problem at all ever or know what I can do?

I have the two disc version.

Plus the additions and fix packs that were made.

Okay, I tried everything, from doing a fresh install to with and without fix packs and I get the same thing each time, it starts to load and then crashes to desktop, does anyone have a saved game in the vicinity or close to even if it's in the Fortress of Regrets already because I don't want to start over because I've spent quite a few hours and I just don't have the time anymore.

I've played older saves and it still does the same thing when I get to the Mortuary. Can anyone help me out here?

Sorry for another post, I fixed it! Had to kill myself to get back into the mortuary and just beat the game one way, gonna try another. Wow, what a game!

who to get out of sigilis

hello everybody

i just continue in this thread even though the problem of sadexchange is solved.

my problem is that i seem to be unable to get out of sigilis and somehow keep the storyline progressing. i think i have been pretty much everywhere in sigilis and i just have one open quest in my log (thats to find mar)

even though i usually dont do that, i read the walktrough on this site and have lerned about the way to get out by traveling through ravels maze (is this correct?). you have to finish a quest before your able to get there, though.
this quest is supposed to be given by ecco the prostitute. i think i ve done everything that stands in the wlktrough, only i dont get that quest!!!
i have gotten the tounge and the tears for ecco, i brought one of those chocolat things for quell and still nobody ist talkin to me about ravel. i talked to kessai saris and there was a little conversation about dreams of ravel but it leads not to a new quest. juliette and the bad language prostiute dont tell me anything about ravel or kessai saris.

what did i miss????

please i need help, this game is so great i just dont want to have to stop playing it!!!

Hiya, not sure how much help this is gonna be as I'm not sure exactly where you are in the game but if the walkthrough here didn't help i'd check out http://www.gamefaqs.com

And specifically DSimpson's walkthrough (Thanks a million times Dan

). Try to find where you are in that and use it to get to the next area.

Please don't give up on the game, it is the best story ever told by any media!

Re: the Mortuary: there are several ways to get into the Mortuary. Unless you're a Dustman yourself, don't talk to the Dustmen just outside the Mortuary gate. That'll crash the game. (if you ARE a Dustman, though, ask them to let you in to tour the mortuary, and they will)

Instead, talk to Pox (the collector standing just outside the outer gates of the Mortuary), who will smuggle you in (you can pretend to be dead, or, if you aren't charismatic enough to fake it, he can actually kill you (y'know, this is one area where I'd think LOW charisma would help)).

Re: Ecco, be sure to talk to Dolora about her. She'll tell you why she can't talk, which allows you to give her the fiend's tongue. You may or may not need to get the keys to Dolora's heart to do this.
