HOTU - Wastes of Cania: Uhm. Something different. *SPOILERS*

This is probably old news for some folks, but it completely blindsided me. I've run through the mod three times now, with varying outcomes, but this... Highlight below to read because it might be somewhat spoilery.

Did you know that when you've collected 20 Velox Nettle Berries ( to light fires ), find a campsite, and are suddenly given the option 'use twenty berries to light a raging fire'... you die? As in, permanently? As in, 'exit game' or 'hope you have an earlier save'?

At least, that's what happened to my LV 30 Wizard just now. Thankfully, I had saved just a few minutes prior, but man... talk about half a heart attack.

I'm glad I never found that many and used them at once, then :) .

I think I just bought a torch from the Pit Fiend merchant that has the same effect of warming. One of them has a permanent enchantment to do that at a ridiculous price.

Anyway, it's just a waste using that many berries at once, what would happen later on, when you have run out?

Hmm, I've never quite seen the use of those berries, either, but as I'm a packrat and tend to search/pick up/harvest anything I can find, I collect them anyway. My character's always been able to rest, campsite or no.

I think I seriously need to cut down on curiosity, though. 'Use twenty berries to light a raging fire' was a classic case of 'curiosity kills', though no cat in this case, but me.
