Solo Fighter/Cleric *SPOILERS*

Post by keeB »

This is really fun so far.. I'm in the Vale of Shadows at level 4/4, almost 5/4. Turn Undead is my saving grace here, and it's pretty high level. Has anyone ever tried to solo IWD before? What were their experiences?

Soloing

I tried briefly with an evil cleric, with the intention of dual classing to necromancer. I got all the way through the Vale of Shadows before it dawned on me that I'd be using a first-level mage in Dragon's Eye. ;)

The thing I despised about soloing was the reduced ability to carry things and use cool items. I prefer dynamic duos and terrific trios. :D

Cleric/Ranger and Fighter/Mage/Thief are a great combo.
When your back is against the wall... the other guy is in a whole lotta trouble.

small issues getting my AC low.. since DEX had to be a bit low.. right now an AC of 2, Verbeegs are rather hard to fight against, especially in temple 1.. so mostly what i am doing is using sanctuary to get the items i need and get past them. This is really fun so far though :p

I got bored with Fighter/Cleric after killing Yxonomei, so I started solo'ing a Fighter/Mage.. I think this going to be pure carnage as, now at level 3/3, I already have 3 attacks per round with my composite longbow, and an AC of -2...
