SWKOTOR 1 ---> SWKOTOR 2 = no link? (spoiler)

Hey i've noticed something, the first knights of the old republic has almost know link with SWKOTOR 2 apart from some of the planets are the same, and so are some NPCs. Revan is hardly a character in SWKOTOR 2, he is only mentioned a few times and you fight him in your vision, thats it.

SWKOTOR 2 is almost a completey different game from SWKOTOR 1

They made it that way so you could play it without having to play the firdt one I think.

While KotoR 2 is not a sequel in the strictest sense, one could conjecture that is insn't meant to be. It may be that KotoR 3 will allow you to play as both Revan and the Exile and the first two games must be taken, not as individual games but as part of a story arc that crosses the entire trilogy.
