big trouble with KOTOR on the Mac

Post by Admiral Snackba »

I recently convinced my brother to play KOTOR -- he's a MAC guy. He bought it and got hooked, I watched him play a while and the motion was slightly slower than I had seen on my PC, but no big whup. Well, he called today to tell me he had gotten to Dantooine and the graphics freaked out -- abysmally slow, even when he turned all the graphic options down to "low" or "off". even when he had reduced the game to basically big blobbish shapes, it still lagged tremendously, to the point of not being playable. I am trying to find a solution to his problem on line as I want him to be able to continue enjoying the game. If anyone has any sort of solution ,please post it.

He is running an I-Book G4 with a 1.25 GHZ, 768 RAM and a Radeon 9200 ATI vid card. Thanks a bunch.

Obi-Wan, your intentionally-unhelpful post might have been construed as humorous if you could spell worth a sith.

Perchance he does, Obi Wan, and perchance you've just been warned for violating two forum rules. First, you spammed the forum, and second, you set out to be rude and unhelpful to a fellow member.

Continued violation of the rules will cause you to lose your posting privileges.

For the rest: guys, if this sort of thing happens, don't address them. Use the warn sign alongside the post to send the moderators a message, explaining the problem. Let us deal with it. Thanks.

Your right and I am sorry. It was not my intent to be rude and unhelpful and I was and for that I am sorry. And Snackba I am working on my spelling :)

Apology accepted; let's move on. :)

Admiral Snackba, I'm moving this thread to our Tech Forum, in the hopes one of the tech gurus who come by here frequently may be able to help you out. But I'll leave a redirect here, just in case somebody's playing KotoR on a Mac and had that experience.
