Computer Software and A bottle Of Crown Royal.

Post by Darth Zenemij »

Computer Software, bottle Of Crown Royal and Suicide.

Well, I found out that on Sunday, a good Friend of mine Commited Suicide. He hung himself beacuse his girlfriend was messing around with to many other people, and he caught her all of those times. I was going to take him under my wing and teach him how a bit about computers and some other things related to that. I also saved a Bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve for us to drink as I taught him some things. Alas, now I'm left with nothing more than fleeting Memories, computer software and this Single Bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve. So to you Nacho, My newest friend, may you rest in Peace. :(

I'm sorry to hear about that. If you need to talk about it, let me know? I've dealt with someone close to you dying...I've just been going over that death again the past few days actually. :(

I say, drink it in his memory. It might help you sleep tonight too.

I took him to a great place for us to hunt and what not. I knew his gf was trouble. But it had to come to this. He was such a great guy, he was nice. I loved him in a Brotherly way. :(

Yeah, you can't convince a guy his girl is trouble, or vice versa, not until they accept it themselves and are ready to do something about it.

I just wrote up a thing in my journal about the deaths of loved ones and how it's affected me. My view on life and death isn't the same as most people and because of that, death hasn't truly upset me as it does a lot of people (everyone I know essentially). Yet, there's been that one person I constantly come full circle on and I just break down thinking about her being gone. Sometimes it's the smallest thing that reminds me of her.

It's rough sometimes, you end up going through the "what if's" and worrying too much. It sucks until you get over the situation and can be rational and not overly emotional about it. :(

Been there; she did that. A good friend when I was in my twenties. We started to move in different circles and lost track of one another. I saw her about a month before she died, and she was brittle and smiling, not eager to see me. A month later, she took pills. I found out from a mutual acquaintance that her husband had sued for divorce, and won custody of their baby. She was too scattered to make a good parent, in truth, but a warm-hearted person and a fine stage actress.

The memories you have left aren't "nothing more than." They are jewels, and if you keep them well shined, over the years they will grow in value. You will learn wisdom from them. And you will be glad you had such a friend; but for now, just escaping the bitterness and sorrow will need to be enough. You have my sympathies.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

My most sincere condolences DZ. I recently lost someone suddenly, thought not to suicide. I agree with Fable- those memories are gems that I'm sure you will cherish. Try to grieve, and then open the bottle, take a sip, and smile as you remember your friend.

Just don't rush it amigo. Things like this take time... I'm sure that you've heard things like this already, but losing someone is... well... just that- a loss. Don't expect it to be of small consequence. And remember, no matter how lousy things may seem or feel, the benefits of having friends are much greater than the consequences. Like Aristotle said, "Without friends, no man would choose to live, though he had all other things."

Or you could do what I have done in the past and clinically detach yourself from it all, leading to people labeling you a heartless sod, and instead just get on with your life unfeeling towards anyone who isn't close family or a cat

I've had a sort of back and forth thing depending on the circumstances in my life. Everytime it changes though, a girl's been involved. Mostly it's been Rachel making me cheer up and stop being so negative the past year or so no matter what crap I'm going through with girls I've dated. :o It's hard to be sad around the girl, works out for me though. :)
Alas, now I'm left with nothing more than fleeting Memories
That is really sad, such a young lad killing himself. I can only repeat what Fable and Cuchulain have already said: memories are what our identity and our lives consist of apart from the moment we experience right now. Without our memories we are not persons. I have vivid and extremly valuable memories of the person I loved most, and of many other people that were very close and very important to me. Some of them died from disease, others in accidents and yet others by suicide.
I would not like to be without those memories. Memories are not static, we interact with our own memories for as long as we live, we interpret and re-interpret them, we see them in different light, we see present events through them.

Variation to a quote from The Princess Bride.

"Death cannot stop true friendship. It can only delay it for a time."

I feel for you man, I truly do. Many of us lose something sentimentally valuable and know where you are coming from. May his soul rest in peace.
