Ok lets drop the biblical stuff and focus on actions and motivations.
I have hard time defining any action as good or as evil.
Here is an example.
If a person finds a bird with a broken wing and nurses it back to health, was this a good action? I do not believe it was because the person really did this because it made him feel good about himself to do it, therefore it was done for personal gain and could not be considered a truly good action.

Poll: what alingment do you play?
That's put a bit simplistically, but that's essentially what I think, too.
Everyone does stuff that fits their view of themselves. Frank Herbert said it in Dune Messiah, "A being would rather kill itself than become that which it is not". Or something like that
Some people just look after themselves; some extend that to a few close relatives/friends; some encompass a larger group (like a football team), still others take that further by including all those of a particular race, creed or political persuasion. Others take in the whole world - are they good, evil, or do they just have a large ego?
One man's messiah is another's fanatic...
