Serious Help On Nar Shaddaa, not a dumbass (Spoiler)

Post by chaser2006 »

Ok so im stuck on Nar Shaddaa, I've completed all the other worlds but I skipped this one in the beginning becuase I couldnt figure it out. Well the whole level is you trying to get the attention of the Exchange, I've done EVERYTHING and still no invite to the Jar poisonous gas chamber thing, the little mouse guy says the Exchange wants my head but still no signs, Ive killed all the guys in the refugee sector except I didnt kill Sasquesh becuase I didnt have to (im light side). and when i talk to him he doesnt say anything to allow me to so I cant. Ive done all the side missions that I know of to piss the exchange off. Ive killed all the guys invading my ship and when I left I got no invite so please someone tell me what to do or where I should go from this point, I will go into more detail when someone responds

Triger for invitation is at the exit from Reffuge sector. Just go ther and you'll see a short movie (Spoilers after this point) of Red Eclipse thugs boarding Ebon Hawk. After you deal with them and leave Hawk afterwards you'll get invitation.

The trigger in returning to the main area around the central pit is for the Red Eclipse, not the invite from Visquis to the Jek Jek Tar. And chaser2006 says that he has already seen and completed that part.

Unfortunately, it does sometimes happen that the scripts that are meant to trigger events dont always fire correctly when the requirements are met. You should get the invite from Visquis after leaving the Ebon Hawk post Red Eclipse - there are no further hoops to jump through; if you don't then the only way round it is to revert to a save before the Red Eclipse and play through again.

There are other things to do to gain notoriety.

For some reason after I posted this, the damn thing wouldn't let me highlight the spoilers part, so....

Spoilers

Did you do the quest for the Bith in the flophouses, his courier work? Or free the little girl being sold into slavery? Become Pazaak champ, and it doesn't even require any skill at the game (since there's a droid there that's been purposely alterred by Goto's organization to play Pazaak, which you can "fix" so it won't play anymore).

Chim- I've done all those missions you've listed

I never got an invite from Visquis to the Jek Jek Tar (I think becuase the private room is steal cealed) and the mission I'm on right now is stopping Gotos hijakings, the only one I have left but where do I find this Goto, supposedly I get an invite after I defeat the Red Eclipse, I did defeat them but left one alive for profit. I have the hutt and his dogs asleep and went into the security room and found those items, hes wake now though. I cant go into the warehouse tho, I'm guessing once I find a way to trigger the ending that will be explained, damn this is so frustrating I rented this game and its due back tonight so hopefully I can finish the dumb thing. Oh and I dont mind spoilers I just want to move on. Thanks for the help

IF this helps to explain how much the exchange hates me, I fixed the lightspeeder and then it was sabatoged.

dont take the speeder, use the doors.

go north to where the pylons are.

specifically, right at the crates before power pylon #1.

Chaser: did you actually have a conversation with the Hutt wherein you volunteer to stop the hijackings, and have you left the Ebon Hawk with Atton in your party? try both of those. If you haven't seen the cutscene with Atton yet, go back to the Ebon Hawk and leave with him in your party and see what happens.

good luck -

You can't stop Goto's hijackings without getting onto Goto's yacht. You can't get onto Goto's yacht, without seing Visquis' demise in his base beneath the Jek Jek Tar. You can't battle your way through the Jek Jek Tar without the invite from Visquis.

Entering the Jek Jek Tar without the invite will acomplish nothing as a quite long chain of scripted cinematic events haven't been triggered.

You have arrived at an impasse.

You have done everything you need to do to trigger the invite from Visquis; if you had not you would not have gotten the Red Eclipse sequence.

Your only way out appears now to go back to an earlier save; anything else is just displacement activity...

I understand you don't want to go back, but your chance of finishing the game tonight - even if this is your last planet - is somewhat unlikely.

I never thought of it but maybe you do have to kill Sasquesh in the Refugee Sector. You have to stop him from pressuring the refugees. The only way I ever got him to stop is by killing him. (Maybe theres another way.)

I've let Saquesh survive once; I was angling for influence with someone in my party at the time, and chose to let him live. But I still got the trigger eventually.

update

Well the only explanation I have to this halt is that I have a glitched game perhaps, the more I thought about it the more it made sense, Nar Shaddaa seems to be the only glitchy part of the game; Atton is always standing outside of the Ebon Hawk even when I have him in my party so theres 2 of them; when i talk to visquis and he gives me the insight on whos hunting me, there are doubles of Hanharr and the twins (2 sets of twins) and when he tells of Mira the camera is zoomed in on her back so theres just a blur of colors. And I noticed in my journal it says I havent completed the pylon bonus mission but in reality I have, so...I guess its just one of those things...too bad I never got to finish the game, the game really wasnt all that fun it was more of a chore to go through the long winded dialogue and the battling wasnt all that spectacular but maybe I would have thought differently if I had finished the game oh well thanks forthe help I appreciate it

Weird. In all my games after I get enough notority wit Exchange on leaving Reffugee sector on foot (through doors) I would get a short movie of Red Eclipse guys talking to that Toydarian that you meet after landing on Nar Shaddaa. I would come back to Ebon Hawk, deal with all Red Eclipse guys there and on leaving EH (back to Nar Shaddaa) I would allways get a invitation from Visquis.

I've never had this problem in three completed games and half-a-dozen more part completed games.

Only once have I had a problem on Nar Shaddaa, and that was when the Red Eclipse sequence didn't trigger. This was easily solved by saving, quitting the game, reloading and entering/exiting the refugee sector.

This game is one of many these days that appears to suffer from Mad Memory Leak disease. This can manifest itself in pretty any form of strangeness as a game starts to run out of memory, but in KotOR 2 it manifests itself most as weaknesses in the games' scripting engine; Grenn not leaving the room and then Moza not entering the room after meeting you under house arrest - then having the rest of the conversation with Moza with the back of Grenn's head and a closed door is the most amusing example.

The best answer is to save often and in different slots (this advice applied to KotOR 1 for all of those who don rose-tinted spectacles whenever you think of Bioware), and whenever any strangeness appears save in a new slot, quit, reload and restart.

Oh, and be careful when playing the game for extended periods of time, because that is where things start to go wrong...
