hotu problem- puzzle room- seeking spoiler and help

i have pretty much given up on the three statue puzzle where they are supposed to blast away the electro barrier when properly aligned. i have heard that there was a patch type issue with this area, but when i try for a patch, the program tells me i am at current version- do i just need to tinker with the patching or is there some in game trick i have missed? feel free to spoiler this one- i have gotten pretty flustered trying to get it...

Is this chapter 3? If so, you need to point them all towards the door, switch all the levers on the islands to blue, then pull the lever at the top of hill.
