Is there any reason to take a charisma higher than 19 if the spell levels only go to 9?

You get bonus spells the higher your spell-casting related ability is. So, yes, more spells. I'm not sure if it increases how hard it is for your enemies to resist your spells too having a higher Charisma (spell DC).

I have a chart on page 39 of my NWN Gold edition manual which shows the effects of a higher ability score and spells. I'm not sure if its the same for other edition manuals, but it should be in them somewhere.
"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

It does increase the DC, so what I like is being a cleric with a natural 40 wisdom (+15 modifier) :D
