Handmaiden & Her Sisters (Some Spoilers)

Post by Ripe »

Just wondering:
Do you think that Handmaiden killed her sisters when she arrived on Telos before facing Atris (only if you play LS, if you play DS I presume she did). I mean she used lightsaber (that's what she had equiped) and lightsabers don't have a stun setting.

While there is undoubtedly some debate as to whether Handmaiden killed them or Atris did, I think it is safe to say Handmaiden did it and it was so easy they just made it a cutscene. The reason I say this is you hear the screams in sequence and then they hit the floor. If it was Atris doing it, she'd have just used Force Storm and zapped them all at once. That's how I like to think of it: she totally owned them.

Besides that, Atris could have killed them, but I don't think she would have. There was no point. They were bound to her will and she could have simply called them off and told them she intended to discipline this one herself. They would have stood idly by until the Exile arrived. No, I think it's safe to say Handmaiden wiped them out.

I thought so myself, I mean if Handmaiden is DS then there is no question - they're history. But I find it hard to belive that a LS Handmaiden would just kill her siblings like that and still remain LS character (check her stats while on Telos), wouldn't that bring instant DS Mastery?

LS or DS, she kills them anyway. If not for vengance/thirst for power then in self defense because Atris sicks them on her. Of course the sisters hate her anyway so they don't mind.

She says she trains so that one day, she will no longer be the last of the handmaidens. This implies that she plans on at least challenging her sisters to be first. Whether or not her intentions are the same at the end, is a different story. Needless to say, no matter what path you choose, Atris is still going to order the sisters to attack and the handmaiden is forced to kill them.

Guess you're right. Besides she does said "I'm not Last of the Handmaidens anymore."

Which, funny enough, is not entirely true. She IS the last of them, the last one left ALIVE. She killed them in self defense because she had to, but at the same time defeated them in combat.

Why does she say that? She still is the last of the handmaidens tho. What does it mean?

I think that she's referring to her rank- after killing all of her sisters she's proved she's a far supeior warrior and so she's first instead of last
