Hi,
I just realised I've made a really big mistake - I finished Charwood a while ago and at the time I didn't find the tome of death. Now I have completed about three more quests and I went to visit Eltoora for the first time about 15mins ago...and now know that I need it but Charwood is no more. This is the only tome I'm missing so, short of going back and reloading an old save game, is there anything I can do to complete the quest?

Well - you could check the toolset, find the tag (name) of the book, and use the console commands to spawn it in, if you really want to complete the quest.
Personally - I'd likely just move on, and forget about it, until possible next run through the game.
