will/appearance

this is just to state something that would have been a nice touch so i dont really expect too many replies on this

ok so heres the thing: it would be great if using certain spells alot affected your physical appearance, for example: using alot of lightning causes a constant pulse of electricity through your body

or maybe using physical shield would make you naturally weaker to melee because of the fact that you are not actually taking hits?

also if Fireball was your fave Spell, as it is mine, instead of the cacky glowing aura you get around your hands... which i might add is very annoying when your wearing Gloves... wouldn't it be nice if fire replaced that?!

it would look extremely cool if you were Evil!

when you're Good, you get butterflies and a heavenly aura from above... but only when you're standing still! unlike the red mist that is constant, even when you're running...

thats basically what i mean, the appearance changes for an evil character are so much more obvious then for a good character

which i don't mind, as i prefer playing an Evil character! >=) but it is a bit annoying in the long run... you would've thought that they'd try to make each alignment roughly with the same amount of changes, noticable changes that is... but hey, another post-game whinge lol =)

as for will and the appearance changes it would have, another thing to add, i like the idea of becoming physically weaker against Melee attacks the more you use Physical Shield! that's a top idea... maybe a little to indepth... but still a top idea! =)

also how about making it so, instead of just getting better at everything, each Spell you use changes some aspect of your character in a certain way... be it strength, defence, etc! =)

lol who knows, maybe some of the ideas do get passed around, maybe LH has a sneaky peek at Fable forums from time to time... would be better for them if they did, there's some nice ideas flowing through peoples minds at the moment...

they'd be daft not to take note, after all, this is what Xbox gamers want from Fable games... would be a revolution if designers listened to their targetted audience! =)

agreed, just reading up on all this is great, expanded plot and everything.

for example: i rented the game for 2 days and was half done it =P corse then i bought it and iv been running around alot instead of doing quests (cant ruin the fun there)

will tatoos should be darker for an evil character, it gets anoying with the red mist then little bluish on em, although i am mainly a melee fighter

also, what is the best way to train for most of the things? iv been increasing my strength and skill, but havnt paid much attention to will, is it really any good?

it really depends on your personal preferances, the bulk of my games were in the "im-bigger-than-you-so-im-gonna-slice-your-head-off" style but i have played throught with a spellsword and a mage and i have to say its bloody good fun slowing time then flourishing a million times before they even know your there

Will really depends on what kind of character ya want but if you are trying to beat the gamee i would work on maxing everything you can. And as far as not ruining the fun go ahead do the quests when ya beat the game just wait for the credits to finish and you can keep playing.

Well call me skilless, but on my first and favorite character I was mostly will with a bit of strength. I loved using a 2 hander and casting spells, I was like some sort of battle mage. I think that appearance should change of what spells you use, like I used assasin rush a lot so I was thinking maybe wobble a bit like being disorientated for travling at high velocity many times. I loved fire ball, and the fire around your hands instead of the blue glow would be really cool.

hell yeah! start a Will User, very slow at gaining EXP at the start but once you get a few good Spells, you're set for the rest of the game...

i used to think Will User's were rubbish until i bit the bullet and made one! =)
