Heads of Hargrimm, Stale Mary and the others

Post by Draak »

Hi guys, new to forum, also pretty new to the game. Luckily not the genre :)

I just went on a rampage through the Dead Nations (after failing to pickpocket Hargrimm, was getting tired of asking it the polite way), which was fairly easy to my surprise. I also collected the heads of the 'important' people there (hargrimm, stale mary, the ghoul-queen-thingy and Soego orso), and i was wondering if there was anything i could do with those (perhaps collect a reward somewhere  ?).

I've already searched some walkthroughs and stuff, and it seems i need one of the heads in the Lower ward orso? but that still leaves me with the other heads.. or should i just drop them and empty my bag a bit?

might as well ask another question in here :p :
After reporting to Many-as-One, i thought it wouldn't be fair to let the rats rule the dungeons, so i went back to kill it (and also for fun to see if i could beat him up :p )

After a lot of rats i managed to beat him, but there is no treasure orso for slaying him? i did pile up a lot of cranium rat tales (for Vermin office), but was wondering if i might've missed some treasure in there..
i did pillage the Warren of Thoughts :)

As for the heads:
one should be enough to keep for later in the game, you are going to need it! I am not going to tell you why not to spoil any surprise, just have it ready.

As Eldomm said--keep at least one head. For the rest, you get experience for reducing the rat threat, but no final treasure. Why should you? Many-As-One is a composite form, so nothing will be hoarded by "it," since "it" is all the rats in the locality. Whatever you'd find, you would find earlier and spread throughout the area.

Ironically enough, the creators of PS:T satirize the whole idea of combat-with-expected-rewards in the Modron Cube's dungeons, with their useless "goodies." :D
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
