Placing ceremonial sword in chest

I cannot seem to place the ceremonial sword in the chest in the aquaducts area. I had triouble placing the ceremonial shield in the cemetary, but then it just finally worked. Is there some kind of trick to placing these items "just right"?

Not really, it is very simple but for some reason it does cause some people problems.

Opening/activating a chest shows a "double" inventory screen with the chest inventory up top and your inventory in the bottom half.
Simply drag the item from your half to the chest half to place items back in a container.
Also - read page 23 (well - 23 my version) of the manual.

I was going crazy trying to "place" the sword in the chest in the game screen. Thank you very much for your help.
