Thoughts on Charms...
I know with Heaven's Gift at level three you can make silver charms, my character has about 23 slots available, here is the dilemma, do I use the silver charms when I get them on my good equipment, or wait until I get into the wastelands to buy some gold ones? (gold [money] is not an issue since I can create alot of it relatively quickly with HG.)

I sold anything gold. You'll have plenty of opportunities to buy gold charms on the final map, with a replenishing, changing supply of them. So sell everything you don't need, before you do the final Dwarven quest.

I picked up a chest in Aleroth (one of Lanilor's Cupboards actually) just to stash my coinage... there is probably near a million GP inside, and I have 11 silver charms, several blue, and several red, speaking of charms, have you EVER seen a green one besides in the loading screenshot? I've heard of them, but I've never actually encountered one.

Green? No. I do recommend buying or keeping items with 4-5 charm slots, especially (but not essentially) if they have other powers. Those charm slots are going to serve you well.
Rack up your scorpion traps. Build up a lot of resistances, especially spiritual. There's a battle towards the end where those are essential.

I hope that 54 scorpion traps is enough, lol. yeah, I was planning on using Gold Charms when I get to the wasteland to improve everything... fire is like 45, and lightning, poison is 70ish, and spirit is like 35. I used a gold charm on my boots of the vampire, it was a nice combination, I can't think of any parts of my equipment that aren't slotted. One question, what are the minimum requirements to get into the Holy Dagger and the book container? those items interest me very much.

I don't recall the minimum requirements--as I wrote, I tend to wander about and enjoy everything, just as you do, rather than tracking numbers. As for the Thieves Guild, the only way to become a member is to do the few quests. I would suggest it. There's a wonderful lockpick you're engaged to recover; do so, give it back to the owner, then buy it from him for next to nothing.
Get your spirit resistance up. Try to get all resistances up to roughly 100, but especially spirit.

Yeah, my plan was to get to the wasteland buy some gold charms and only use the resist ones until I got 100% resist, I already brought that guy his lockpicks back... are they reusable or something?
I meant what kind of lockpick skill do you have to have to get back there? do you need it? what was the guy talking about when he said if I couldn't pull off the tests it would cost me a hefty sum, and if you can't pay, should I bother getting pickpocket for his first quest or just poison gas the guy?

The lockpicks are exceptionally good, and can be reused.
Go open the doors down the hall. That should win the money. Then go open the treasure room--which you should be able to do if you have a 4 or 5 in lockpicking (not sure which). The great lockpicks you just recovered should help. Everything in there is yours for the taking, and depending on the roll of the dice, you could end up with some nice items in the chest. Not to mention all the gems.

I like the lockpicks they did the job, and the got me the ONLY things I was interested in, the book that is like a 5 pound treasure chest, and the 3rd Holy Item I needed. I used poison cloud to kill the pickpocket guy, and the picks to open the door for the ale. only one point of lockpicking ( I don't even know if that's a skill of mine, or an item).
